INAR, but…

InterCultural Iceland is delighted to announce that our bid for an Erasmus+ KA1 funding for the INAR, but ... project has been successful! INAR, but... stands for "I'm not a racist, but..."

The project aim is to reach adult learners who are resistant to anti-discrimination training by providing support & strategies for trainers who may avoid or ignore this group. Reaching these individuals with innovative, cooperative & no blame methodologies will lead to improvements in social and employment relations, offering an extension to the forms of training & education currently available. Individuals who fail to engage with anti-discrimination agendas in the workplace, in education or in wider society can be a catalyst for significant disruption, stress & ultimately costly reparation activities either directly or indirectly. Further, the impact on minority groups in all areas of social and public life is problematic and unjust.

The project partners

Projected outcomes
In addition to data gathering and literature review of theory and practice in all participating countries we will produce materials for trainers which will be freely available via Amazon downloads. Training material will feature augmented reality visual materials. For wider use we will produce an information sharing activity for social media such as facebook and a video and handbook for trainers.

We are really looking forward to our cooperation and will share our process here as it happens!
